Job Position – Head of Capital Markets

Job Description:

Diversified Lending Solutions (“DLS”) is a cloud-based commercial mortgage brokerage that enables real estate operators across the country to obtain financing for their next investment property through its tech-enabled processes and expansive, growing lender database. We are seeking to add an experienced, entrepreneurial Head of Capital Markets (the “HCM”) to grow our mortgage brokerage presence with direct lenders.

About the Role:

The HCM will be responsible for interfacing with capital markets participants to better understand their various lending parameters and loan pricing, operational protocol for working with brokers, and their workflow preferences for processing loans submitted by DLS Loan Originators. 

Main responsibilities include:

  • The HCM will be chiefly responsible to growing the number of lenders in the Company’s Lender database by establishing new relationships, deepening the Company’s existing relationships
  • Proactively and/or reactively steer prospecting efforts for new lender relationships that directly improve financing options for opportunities sourced by Loan Originators.
  • Conduct introductory and follow up calls to various capital markets participants, including private lenders, life insurance companies, commercial banks, private equity funds, and family offices to discuss operational synergies and confirm the best point of contact for referring potential projects needing financing. 
  • Document call/meeting notes into CRM so intel becomes usable data points for management, the Loan Originators, and the tech and analytics support personnel developing the Company’s proprietary brokerage portal.
  • The HCM will ensure that service level agreements, communication and operational requirements of the capital markets relationships are properly documented and maintained. 
  • Proactively contact the company’s capital markets partners and affiliates to enhance the business relationship, deepen the company’s working knowledge of their products, pricing, and best practices.
  • Proactively reach out to capital markets participants to create new relationships and better understand opportunities that match with the lender’s funding profile, loan parameters, pricing, and best practices for processing loans. 
  • Field clarification questions and make recommendions to the Loan Originators regarding the loan products and pricings for DLS and/or its capital markets lending partners. 
  • Perform general clerical, administrative and operational duties as necessary to track, maintain, update, and monitor the company’s proprietary database of lenders and streamline loan brokerage processes.
